Liberia

Liberia is a country located in West Africa, bordered by Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Côte d'Ivoire. It was founded in 1822 by the American Colonization Society as a colony for freed slaves from the United States. The country has a diverse population of over 4 million people, with more than 20 ethnic groups. The official language is English, and the capital city is Monrovia. Liberia has a long history of political instability and has experienced several civil wars, including one that lasted from 1989 to 2003. The country is rich in natural resources, including iron ore, gold, and timber, but its economy is largely underdeveloped.
