Uganda is a landlocked country located in East Africa. It is bordered by South Sudan to the north, Kenya to the east, Tanzania to the south, Rwanda to the southwest, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west. The geography of Uganda is diverse, with the highest point being Mount Stanley at 5,109 meters (16,763 feet) and the lowest point being Lake Albert at 621 meters (2,037 feet). The climate is generally tropical, with two rainy seasons and two dry seasons per year. The official language of Uganda is English, and the majority of the population speaks Luganda, a Bantu language.
